IMH CEO: “We share and support the vision of the Government and Invest Cyprus”

IMH shares and supports the vision of the government and Invest Cyprus to transform the island to be one of the world’s best countries to live, work and do business in, its CEO, George Michail, said addressing the 11th Invest Cyprus International Investment Awards in Nicosia.

“During the last few years, hundreds of international companies from various sectors and from many different countries have relocated to or invested in Cyprus,” said Michail. “The island is transforming into an attractive, modern, and transparent international business centre and a cosmopolitan lifestyle destination, supported by a thriving and resilient economy.”

“CYPRUS VISION 2035” is the government’s long term strategy for sustainable growth for the island, he said. “Its main objective is to transform Cyprus to be one of the world’s best countries to live, work and do business in.” This will be achieved, the CEO of IMH added, by becoming a dynamic and competitive economy, driven by research, scientific excellence, innovation, technological development, and entrepreneurship.

“At IMH we share and support this vision of the Government and Invest Cyprus: to make our country a bigger and better international business centre,” said Michail. “Our conferences, investment summits, roundtable meetings and forums are the biggest investor networking gatherings. Our English language media, GOLD magazine and CBN (Cyprus Business News) Portal are read by tens of thousands of English-speaking white-collar executives and investors in Cyprus and abroad.”

According to Michail, the evening was about honouring and expressing “our appreciation to International Investors from diverse sectors of the economy, who have chosen to operate in Cyprus, investing hundreds of millions of euros and creating or sustaining thousands of jobs.”

He extended his congratulations to the outstanding organisations receiving an award. “We are proud and honoured to have such investors in Cyprus.”

He thanked Invest Cyprus and the members of the Awards Committee, as well as the evening’s sponsors: PwC, Eurobank Cyprus, and ECOMMBX.

“Special thanks and congratulations go to the editorial team of GOLD magazine and all my wonderful colleagues at IMH,” Michail concluded.

The 11th Invest Cyprus International Investment Awards, organised by GOLD magazine and Invest Cyprus, are sponsored by Platinum Sponsor PwC Cyprus, and Gold Sponsors Eurobank Cyprus and ECOMMBX.
