PACE President paying official visit to Cyprus

President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Tiny Kox is paying an official visit to Cyprus, 5-7 July, at the invitation of President of the House of Representatives, Annita Demetriou.

According to a press release issued by the Parliament, the PACE President will be received by the President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides, and have a separate meeting with President of the House of Representatives Annita Demetriou.

He will also have separate meetings with the leaders or representatives of the political parties in the Parliament and as well as with Minister of Justice and Public Order Anna Koukkides Prokopiou. Furthermore, Kox will meet with the members of the Cypriot delegation to the PACE, Nicos Tornaritis, Yiorgos Loukaides, Christiana Erotokritou and Costis Efstathiou.

The President of PACE will address the plenary session of the House of Representatives in a special session of the House, on Thursday. In addition, he will hold a meeting with Mayor of Famagusta, Simos Ioannou and members of the Municipal Council, at the cultural center of Turkish-occupied Famagusta located in Deryneia.
