BoCCF presents: Traditional music performance ‘From West to the East…’

Faneromeni23 Art Festival successfully continues its events on Thursday, 13 July, with the traditional music and ceramics performance ‘From West to the East...’ that will take place at the courtyard of the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation in Nicosia.

The performance with arrangements for two pianos, lute, renaissance lute, violin, percussion and voice is dedicated to the traditional music of Cyprus and of various regions of Greece. The audience will enjoy the original arrangements of Cypriot traditional music, Greek dances, melodies and songs from the Mediterranean musical traditions, as well as songs written by Cypriot composers.

A great opportunity will be granted to the audience by the artistic team to get to know this musical tradition which is an integral part of our identity, culture and intagible heritage.

At the same time, ceramist Maria Michail will also be on stage, creating a piece of clay work which will be completed at the end of the event. Thus, ceramic creative arts of Cyprus will be brought to view, also representing an integral part of our cultural heritage.

On the evenings of the Faneromeni23 Arts Festival events, the museums and exhibitions of the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation will be open until midnight.

The events will take place with observation of all necessary protection measures for the health and safety of visitors and staff and are accessible to disabled groups.
