The Landmark Nicosia: The two towers, the ultra-luxury hotel and when it will welcome guests

The Landmark Nicosia, a ‘landmark’ project that is anticipated will be a real jewel of the capital is expected to meet all the development needs and more in Nicosia, giving the city an air of renewal, luxury, and a unique and holistic lifestyle experience.

In this interview, the CEO of MHV Group, Charis Michael, analyses the characteristics of the large-scale project and what it will include, announcing, at the same time, the timetable for its completion.

Two impressive towers will flank the ultra-luxurious and completely renovated hotel, while preserving the historic characteristics of the Hilton, which left its indelible mark on the history of the capital.

When is The Landmark Nicosia expected to be completed and what does the project include?

The project includes the renovation and transformation of the Landmark hotel into a super-luxury branded five-star hotel, while two impressive towers will be constructed in the outdoor area of the hotel. One tower will be residential, The Landmark Nicosia Residences, and the second will offer state-of-the-art office facilities, The Landmark Nicosia Offices.

Construction work is progressing at a rapid pace and within 2025 the grand project is expected to be completed.  We will be able to welcome the first guests of the hotel before the end of 2024.

It is a mixed development, which with its features, will be the first of its kind in Nicosia as an ultimate lifestyle destination.

The architectural design, carried out by the distinguished Cypriot architect Eraclis Papachristou and his team, reflects the scope and quality of the project with the use of the latest technology. It will be a jewel, a real "landmark" at the entrance of the city.

The building facilities will be specially designed to offer a new luxurious lifestyle, a different lifestyle that will be framed by the status of the destination. A unique and holistic lifestyle experience, a destination that will provide high level amenities to its customers and at the same time will be an oasis in the centre of Nicosia for the local market.

The philosophy of the project reflects the broader concept that the MHV Group promotes through its projects, innovating in Cyprus.

With The Landmark Nicosia, MHV Group is giving a vote of confidence to Nicosia, investing at a time when the capital is in greater need than ever of major development projects and value-added investments, as well as quality jobs. It is a huge project, a milestone for Nicosia.

You mentioned two towers. Tell us a little about them…

The impressive Landmark Nicosia Offices will consist of 16 floors with 16,500 sq.m. state-of-the-art and sustainable office facilities, with international LEED Gold certification (i.e., for lower consumption of energy, water and carbon dioxide emissions, safe and healthy working conditions). The facilities will offer an excellent working environment, thus reflecting the status of the capital as an innovative business centre.

The residential tower Landmark Nicosia Residences will consist of 17 floors and 53 luxury apartments. The apartments will feature world-class amenities and facilities such as private pools and gardens, composite exterior thermal insulation technology, floor-to-ceiling windows, and smart home systems.

The two towers will feature two-level underground parking, a concierge and 24-hour professional security service.

It should be noted that the apartments at Landmark Nicosia Residences are available for purchase and the office facilities at Landmark Nicosia Offices are available for rent.

What are the main features of the hotel and what services will it offer?

A key feature of the ultra-luxury hotel will be to preserve the heritage and historical authenticity of the Hilton hotel as a reference point in a timelessly distinct location in the centre of the capital, but also as a meeting place for personalities from the business, political and social life of the country, organisations, and businesses.

The goal is for the hotel's authenticity and glamour to return even more enriched.

The hotel will offer its guests incomparable amenities, such as two branded restaurants and a branded pool bar, three swimming pools, a tennis court, and a wide range of prestigious brand name boutiques.

It will also include a state-of-the-art Ballroom for organising events and conferences, with the ability to host up to 1,000 people.

The renovation works also include the construction of comprehensive wellness facilities which will be staffed with qualified professionals, a fully equipped gym, spa, healing areas, sauna, and Jacuzzi.

Part of the overall development is the maintenance and regeneration of the adjacent 10,000 sq.m. park.

Are you planning to collaborate with international brands and companies?

Certainly. There will be a wide range of branded brands, from the sectors of Food & Beverage, fashion, and business.

In a more general context, the strategy implemented by the MHV Group is based on the strength of brands.

We believe in the power of brands, and we believe that their attraction and the benefits that arise through partnerships and collaborations of well-known commercial brands are multiple. Not only for the Group but also for the local economy more broadly.

Already our portfolio includes strong brands, hotels, restaurants, and shops with an international presence, such as Nammos and LPM, which add value both to the product we offer as an organisation, but also as a tourist destination.

For us, this is an ongoing process. That is to say, the attraction of new brands in all sectors, which upgrade the customer experience.

Who is the Landmark project aimed at?

The project is aimed mainly at domestic investors, but also at international investors and large companies looking for the quality and charm offered by the space, both the hotel and the two towers.

What are the MHV Group’s future plans/projects?

Our aim is to offer even more authentic and unique experiences to our customers.

The MHV Group implements a dynamic strategy, which is based on the commitment to quality service and the provision of state-of-the-art services.

We resolutely implement the Group's vision and, acting proactively, we continue to emphasise new markets, seeking new partnerships.
