New yellow warning for extreme high temperatures

The Cyprus Meteorology Department has issued a yellow warning, for “extremely high temperatures” on Friday, 18 August, with maximum temperatures expected to reach 41 degrees Celsius inland and 33 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.

According to the warning, which is valid between 1100 and 1700 Friday, maximum temperatures are expected to reach around 41 degrees Celsius inland and around 33 degrees Celsius in the higher mountainous areas.
