ASBIS records $222m profit in July; preliminary results

Limassol-based ASBISc Enterprises Plc had consolidated revenues of approximately $222m in July, recording a 10% increase over its $202m profit in the same month last year.

Siarhei Kostevitch, Chairman and CEO of ASBIS Group, commented: “July being the slowest month of the third quarter, has shown the growth we anticipated. We are satisfied with the result and have an ambitious forecast ahead of us, and all our efforts are currently focused on its fulfilment. We are dynamically increasing revenues in all our major markets and we expect more revenues to come from our newly established markets of Caucasus and on the markets of Western Europe and Africa. All these directions are currently developing very well and record solid sales growth not only on an annual basis, but also month in month out, strengthening the position of ASBIS in individual markets.”

He added: “As for our sales leading countries, the leaders remain the markets we have been strong throughout the years i.e. Kazakhstan, Slovakia, United Arab Emirates and Ukraine. The best-selling product categories were: smartphones, processors and laptops, in particular MacBooks.”

ASBIS, a leading Value Add Distributor, developer, and provider of ICT, IoT products, solutions, and services to the markets of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), was founded in 1990 in Belarus and has operated in Cyprus since 1995.
