Church of Cyprus to award Apostle Varnavas gold medal to Senator Menendez

The Church of Cyprus will award US Senator Robert Menendez the Gold Medal of Apostle Varnavas "for his contribution to the struggle of the Greek Cypriots for justice and liberty."

The award ceremony will take place on Thursday, 24 August 24, at 7pm, at the Archbishopric in Nicosia. Here the Archbishop of Cyprus Georgios will award Senator Menendez with the Gold Medal of Apostle Varnavas, which is the highest honour for the Church of Cyprus, the Archbishopric said in a press release.
