American Medical Center Limassol to boost local health sector

The American Medical Center continues to pioneer, expanding its presence in the health sector with the creation of a new model Private Hospital in Limassol.

Driven to provide high-quality services and developing a network of integrated health services, American Medical Center is proceeding with the construction of a new state-of-the-art Medical Center in Limassol, drastically changing the field of health.

In the heart of Limassol, opposite the Police Department, with a total area of 12,900 m2, the American Medical Center Limassol, will be a point of reference for Cyprus and will become one of the largest and most advanced Private Hospitals in the wider region.

With sustainability and an energy-saving strategy as its main features, AMC Limassol has been designed by an award-winning London architectural firm, while construction work is expected to begin in the coming months and is estimated to be completed in approximately 1.5 years.

Raising the bar for private healthcare in Cyprus even higher, AMC Limassol will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology and will operate on the basis of the most modern international standards. The building will consist of ten floors, with two additional underground floors and a four-floor structure for visitor and staff parking.

It has a capacity for 70 beds and each room has its own garden area, while green spaces are integrated throughout the building, creating a beautiful and supportive environment for the patient and the visitor.

The patient rooms have been placed on the top three floors of the building so that they have a panoramic view and contribute to patients’ mental peace and enhanced physical recovery.

The vegetation surrounding the floors of the hospital visually immerses the building in greenery, while with the specialized shading system that works efficiently in energy saving, the interior spaces will be flooded with soft natural light.

Designed with an emphasis on ecological sustainability, AMC Limassol will meet the highest standards of energy efficiency while making extensive use of Renewable Energy Sources.

The new Private Hospital, which will provide the full range of medical services and specialties, outside of the NHS framework, will respond to the needs of a rapidly developing city, bridging the gap created by the inclusion of the Limassol hospitals in the NHS.

The modern infrastructure of the American Medical Center Limassol will include a First Aid and Emergency Department, an Intensive Care Unit, five operating rooms equipped with high-tech medical machines, support areas, as well as a helipad for the immediate transfer of patients.
