Ineia, Paphos to host Green Tourism Festival on 10 and 11 August

The Paphos-district village of Ineia is hosting a two-day exhibition of environmentally-friendly tourist products and services during the Green Tourism Festival on 10 and 11 August.

According to an announcement by the Paphos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, it undertook organising the event to promote green alternative tourist destination in the context of the implementation of the CROSS - COASTAL - NET project, which aims to establish a Network for the Promotion of Sustainable Forms of Coastal Tourism and, to introduce innovative sustainable tourism policies management of coastal areas for the first time in the common cross-border area (AKAMAS-BALOS.)

As mentioned in the announcement, the two-day exhibition of green tourism products and services looks forward to the participation of interested businesses and organisations from the field of tourism and environmental protection, which will include an exhibition of "green" tourism products and services, forums, B2B and B2C meetings, educational and artistic events as well as food and beverages.

According to the Paphos Chamber, the exhibition will be open to the public from 6pm-10pm on both days.

The Chamber also pointed out that the Green Tourism Festival is part of the INTERREG-CROSS COASTAL NET: Development of a Cross-Border Network for the Promotion of Sustainable Coastal Tourism European programme, which is co-financed by the European Union and by Greece and Cyprus’ public funds.
