Retail trade rises by 9.9% in value and by 8.1% in volume in July

Retail Trade in value in Cyprus for July 2023 increased by 9.9% compared to the respective period of last year, with retail trade in volume rising by an annual 8.1% in the same month, CySTAT has said.

According to the data released, the Turnover Value Index of Retail in July rose to 162.2 units marking in increase of 9.9% year on year, while the index for the period of January – July 2023 rose by a faster pace amounting to 11.3%.

Furthermore, the Turnover Volume Index of Retail Trade in July amounted to 148.8 units, registering an annual increase of 8.1%, whereas for the period of January – July 2023 the index registered a lower increase of 7.6%.
