Invest Cyprus promotes island at Prague event

Invest Cyprus presented Cyprus’ advantages as an investment destination at the IDEEA Hospitality Investment Forum held on 18-20 September in Prague, which attracted entrepreneurs and investors based and operating in Central European countries, a press release said.

As one of the main sponsors of IDEEA, Invest Cyprus had “a strong presence”, at the event, presenting Cyprus’ advantages as an investment destination, investment opportunities, incentives for investors and how the sector is now shaped, it adds.

The organisation participated in one of the panels of the conference, together with the respective organisations of Greece and Albania, Enterprise Greece and Albania Investment Corporation, with the topic: “Markets on the Rise: What do they do better?”. “Emphasis was placed on the comparative advantages of our country for attracting investment in the tourism sector, such as the dynamics of our economy and the tourism sector, our geographical position and having the advantage of being the only European country with direct access to the Middle East and Asia as well as our attractive tax system,” it adds.

During the discussion, Stephanie Panayi, Head of Strategic Projects, Invest Cyprus, said, among other things, that the Organisation’s priority was attracting investment funds for sustainable developments and projects that will boost the country's economy.

She added that they could now say with confidence that the sector was recovering at rates similar to those of the record year of 2019, and that they were particularly pleased with the interest they are getting from major investment funds, which are assessing Cyprus for investment.

Panayi described the Organisation's participation in the IDEEA Hospitality Investment Forum as successful.
