Limassol Marina partners with AbleBook Cyprus

Limassol Marina has announced its new collaboration with AbleBook, a leading application that seeks to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups in the wider community.

AbleBook is the first online platform for people with disabilities in Cyprus which was inspired by the experiences daily and challenges faced by its founder, himself a person with a congenital disability.

The application offers vital information and services regarding accessibility for the disabled across the island’s urban centers and communities. Simultaneously, the application also plays a pivotal role in raising public awareness of the issues facing vulnerable groups and promoting the implementation of innovative solutions to help the disabled become better integrated into society.

The partnership between Limassol Marina and the AbleBook application serves to underscore the Marina’s inherent social and innovative attributes, with a range of services across the development accessible to all.

Notably, the Marina boasts more than 50 parking spaces dedicated to persons with disabilities and facilitates unobstructed and convenient entry for the disabled to all areas of the project. This is made possible by free wheelchairs and buggy transportation within the Marina for both customers and visitors.

"AbleBook’s vision and objectives align perfectly with the values of Limassol Marina. From the onset, this collaboration was embraced with much enthusiasm by our entire team, largely due to the social impact of the initiative and the fact that the platform is the brainchild of two young individuals with a vision for a better tomorrow for everyone," said General Manager of Limassol Marina, Nikiforos Pampakas.

Founder and CEO of AbleBook, Andreas Vassiliou said, “We are particularly happy about our partnership with Limassol Marina, one that reflects our dedication to creating a truly accessible and inclusive community. Limassol Marina is an excellent example of how social orientation, and a pioneering mindset, can contribute to real progress. Through this partnership, we aim to drive awareness, innovation, and collaboration for a more accessible and inclusive society among the vulnerable population groups. This partnership reflects the true value of social contribution and collective social effort for a more accessible and inclusive tomorrow for all of us. We hope that other businesses will follow the example of Limassol Marina by joining our application."
