Officials discuss Cyprus-Japan cultural cooperation

Deputy Minister of Culture Vasiliki Kassianidou and the Ambassador of Japan in Cyprus, Yoshio Yamawaki, met in Nicosia this week to discuss opportunities for cultural collaboration.

Kassianidou posted on X that she was ''glad to have met Ambassador Yoshio Yamawaki of Japan in Cyprus'', adding that they ''share common goals for the promotion of our cultures''.

The Deputy Minister of Culture also spoke of a ''productive discussion, exploring opportunities for cultural collaboration in crafts, dance, music, theatre, cinema and animation''.

In conclusion, she said that she is ''looking forward to strengthening our ties with Japan''.
