The new hotels set to open in 2024

A number of new hotels are expected to open in the new year, further enriching the island’s tourism product.

Some will be brand new hotel units, while others the result of extensive renovations, all geared up to welcome their first guests in the new holiday season.

The hotels are located, among other, in Larnaca, Paphos, Limassol and Ayia Napa.

Below, some of the most highly-anticipated new arrivals:

Cali Resort & Spa at Coral Bay

The adults-only Cali Resort & Spa is a member of the Elegant Collection by Louis Hotels and is located in the Coral Bay area of Paphos.

The former Horizon hotel is currently undergoing a huge renovation to become a five-star hotel and is expected to open its doors in May 2024.

The latest member of Louis Hotels’ Elegant Collection aims to offer guests over the age of 16 the ultimate retreat from the demands of daily life. According to the resort’s website, “Open spaces and earthy tones set the stage for the perfect escape where art and opulence are entwined in ethereal beauty. A total of 201 rooms invite you to unwind in a sonata of warmth and comfort, while in the resort’s two restaurants, every dining experience is a powerful duet of taste and presentation.”

Mercure City Hotel in Larnaca

French hospitality giant Accor is further cementing its presence in Cyprus with a new Mercure hotel on the Phinikoudes Beach strip. It follows its first hotel in Voroklini, the Mercure Beach Resort.

Mercure City Hotel is expected to open to the public in the second quarter of 2024 and will cater to both business and leisure travellers.

With 42 rooms and six suites, the hotel aims to meet the different needs of its customers. It will also offer high-level services, such as a rooftop pool, a unique sky bar overlooking the city of Larnaca, as well as a modern gym.

The Nines in Ayia Napa

The Nines is a new, five-star hotel expected to open in the spring in Ayia Napa. The luxury hotel has an outdoor pool, gym and gardens as well as a restaurant, lounge and spa.

The hotel boasts over 150 rooms, include deluxe options and rooms with sea views. It is located on the bustling Nissi Avenue.

Palm Beach Resort

The Palm Beach Resort in Larnaca is currently undergoing a full renovation. The brand new offering will consist of a five-star hotel, private residences, top quality gastronomical options and state of the art sports facilities.

The Quality Group aims to turn the Palm Beach into a luxury resort. The construction work is being undertaken by N. Psaras Construction.

The Environment Department in June gave the green light for changes to the existing hotel unit, which include, among other things, the construction of two new residential buildings and a new restaurant.

GrandResort in Limassol

Following its acquisition of the GrandResort in Limassol, the Fattal Hotel Group has been renovating the hotel with the aim of welcoming its first guests in the coming season.

The hotel will operate all year around with a focus on hosting conferences, with one of its key features being a reception room capable of hosting over 1,000 people.

The hotel is part of Fattal Leonardo Hotels’ Limited Edition collection and will be among a select few hotels in Europe offering particularly high level services.
