She specialises in banking, commercial and competition law. She also has extensive experience in advising on the establishment and distribution of private investment funds and the provision of cross-border financial services, having previously been a member of the in-house legal team (as Vice President) of BlackRock, Inc. During her tenure at Georgiades & Pelides LLC she has acted on behalf of banks and credit servicers on some of the largest sales of credit portfolios in Cyprus. She has also advised both international and domestic clients on the licensing and construction of renewable energy facilities, including on the conclusion of contracts to construct the largest PV park in Cyprus so far. Sotos Kasinos has been a member of the firm’s litigation department since 2018 and specialises in banking, commercial and corporate disputes. He recently successfully acted on behalf of one of the largest Hungarian steel plants before the Supreme Court of Cyprus, and is also experienced in international commercial arbitration, having recently represented a multinational group of companies before the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce. Together with an international legal team, he is currently representing a non-Cypriot client in one of the largest claims ever filed in the Cypriot courts, relating to professional negligence.
