Beer sales in Cyprus in 2023 rise by 1.5%, driven by exports

Total beer sales in Cyprus rose by 1.5% in 2023, driven mainly by exports which in 2023 increased by almost 9%.

According to data released by CySTAT, total beer deliveries in 2023 amounted to 42.13 million litres compared with 41.49 million in 2022.

Beer deliveries for local consumption last year rose by 1.1% year on year, reaching 36.69 litres in 2023 compared with 39.25 million in 2022.

Beer exports rose by an annual 8.9% in 2023, amounting to 2.44 million litres from 2.24 in 2022, CySTAT added.

In December total beer deliveries dropped by 13.3% year on year. Deliveries for local consumption declined by 16.1% whereas exports almost doubled, marking an increase of 97% to 112,913 litres from 57,466 litres in 2022.
