Commission launches 2024 EU Scholarship Programme for T/C students

The European Commission announced the launch of the EU Scholarship Programme for the Turkish Cypriot community for the Academic Year 2024 - 25, with a budget of 5 million euro.

Applications will be accepted until 2 April 2024 at 23:59 (Cyprus time). Applications can be submitted online via the EU Scholarships website ( www.euburs.eu ).

The programme provides opportunities for the Turkish Cypriot community to study at European universities in different areas and levels of education. Since 2007 this flagship programme has been supporting students, professionals, and adult learners across the community.

The Scholarship Programme also aims to enhance the economic development and labour opportunities of the community by developing knowledge and skills in different priority areas, from Software Engineering to Sustainable Energy Technology, that are in demand for skills in the labour market.

In addition to the general call, the programme also developed the Alumni Connect Initiative an online platform that aims to connect the approximately 2,150 Turkish Cypriot scholars who benefitted from the Scholarships Programme since 2007.

The EU Scholarships Programme is fully funded by the EU and is implemented by the Goethe Institut since 2022.
