Industrial turnover up 9.1% in October 2023

The Industrial Turnover Index for October 2023 displayed robust growth, with an annual change of 9.1%, reaching 195.5 units (base 2015=100), according to the latest data by CySTAT.

For the period January – October 2023, the index recorded an increase of 6.7% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

The Manufacturing sector played a pivotal role in propelling the overall increase, as the Index for October 2023 reached 193.7 units, marking a surge of 13.7% from the same period in the previous year.

Increases were also marked in the sectors of mining and quarrying (23.1%) and water supply and materials recovery (13.4%).

However, a decrease was observed in the electricity supply sector, which recorded a -9.6% change in October 2023.
