Marios Hartsiotis: New Justice Minister also an expert in Ecclesiastical Law

Marios Hartsiotis, Senior Partner - Managing Director at Marios Hartsiotis & Co LLC, has been appointed as the new Minister of Justice in the government reshuffle.

Hartsiotis replaces Anna Koukkides-Prokopiou.

Marios Hartsiotis was born in Nicosia in 1963. He is a graduate of the University of Athens Law School and holds a Master’s degree (MA) in Theology (Ecclesiastical Law) from the University of Nicosia. He registered with the Cyprus Bar Association in 1988 following his internship at the office of the Attorney General.

In 1990 he established his own office, becoming the senior partner and managing director of Marios Hartsiotis & Co LLC.

He has acquired significant experience in various fields of practice such as commercial and corporate law, insurance law, administration of estates, ecclesiastical law, medical negligence, trusts, and real estate.

In 2016 Hartsiotis became a licensed Insolvency Practitioner. He is also a qualified Arbitrator and a member of the Cyprus Arbitration and Mediation Centre. He is also a partner in H2 ADR Solutions Ltd, a Limassol-based private company offering professional and tailored services across the entire ADR spectrum.

Hartsiotis also participates in various organisations, institutions and associations whose activities span across the wider professional, social, and charitable sectors.

He is married and has one child, a son.
