Boutique Beverages Bottling International Ltd (BBBI), subsidiary of Kassatly Chtaura, unveiled its new production unit in Ypsonas this week.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Chairman and CEO of Kassatly Chtaura Akram Kassatly along with Nayef Kassatly, Managing Director of BBBI, praised Cyprus and its people, expressing their warm thanks to all who contributed to building and operating the new factory.
Akram Kassatly, who was warmly welcomed by the audience, expressed his gratitude for the people behind the company, describing the new factory as a milestone and Cyprus as his “second home”.
Lebanon’s Kassatly Group has already started producing its famous Freez mix soda at its production plant in Ypsonas.
Speaking previously to CBN, Nayef Kassatly confirmed that production had begun on 21 March and was continuing “smoothly”.
Kassatly also said that all this meant the exportation of the company’s popular drinks from Cyprus to the rest of Europe and the US was on the near horizon.
BBBI’s process to build the Ypsonas factory was supported by Invest Cyprus and the government’s Business Facilitation Unit.
Boutique Beverages Bottling Factory International LTD (BBBI) was established in Cyprus, specifically in Limassol, in July 2021. It is a member of the Kassatly Group, a major player in the beverage industry in Lebanon, producing since the 1970s various categories of drinks. BBBI will produce alcoholic and non-carbonated beverages, mainly for export.
BBBI operated in Cyprus to expand its bottling facilities and specialise in promoting the FREEZ brand in the global market. Bottling here started in March 2024 and the plant is now fully operational. In July 2024, it was awarded at the 12th Invest Cyprus International Investment Awards.
Kassatly Group Holding has been a family business since 1974. The group has grown from local and regional markets to global ones, through continuous efforts and new product development, meeting the ever-changing needs of consumers. Today the group produces alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, which are sold in 40 countries.
