Employment agencies from 9 EU states at 'Find Your Career in Europe' event in Nicosia

The Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance and EURES Cyprus are organising the “Find Your Career in Europe” event, in Nicosia on 15 October with the participation of representatives from employment agencies from nine EU member states, along with company representatives.

According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance, the event is “a unique opportunity” for job seekers as “hundreds of open jobs in various industries” are to be presented.

It said that employment offices from Germany, the Czech Republic, Greece, Italy, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden and the Netherlands will inform job seekers about job opportunities in the HORECA industry (hotels, restaurants, cafes), transport, technology, communications, engineering and health sectors, while there will be information about EU-funded mobility programmes.

“The event is addressed to anyone who wishes to explore job opportunities in Europe and get to know the labour market requirements of other countries”, the Ministry added.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to participate in workshops and seminars related to preparing for finding work abroad and to network with professionals and organisations active in the European labour market.

The event, it is noted, is organised by the Labour Department of the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance and EURES Cyprus and is dedicated to the 30 years of operation of the European EURES network, “which is responsible for the free movement of workers in the European Union”.

It is noted that the workshops will be presented in Greek language, while participation in the event is free.

The event will take place at the Royal Hall venue in Nicosia between 10:00-18:00.
