Jazeera Airways to extend flights between Kuwait-Larnaca

Deputy Minister of Tourism Kostas Koumis has welcomed Jazeera Airways’ decision to extend its flight programme connecting Kuwait and Cyprus throughout the year, and plans to utilise this flight to further bolster Cyprus’ connectivity with the countries of the Arab Peninsula.
According to a press release by the deputy ministry, Koumis met with the with Jazeera Airways’ Area Manager for Levantine and Egypt Madonna Hoyek and Director of Sky Master, Jazeera Airways Cyprus representative, Antonis Orthodoxou.
Koumis briefed his interlocutors on the state of play concerning Cyprus’ connectivity with the countries of the region and the Deputy Ministry’s efforts to further strengthen flight connectivity.
He said the Deputy Ministry is in an open dialogue and eager for collaborations, calling all stakeholders to contribute to the “collective effort to upgrade and showcase Cyprus as tourist destination.”
On her part, Hoyek informed the Deputy Minister over the carrier’s decision to extent the flight programme between Kuwait and Larnaca throughout the year, as Larnaca and Cyprus in general are considered as year-long tourist destinations, both due to weather conditions and the experience offered as well, the Deputy Ministry said.
The Kuwait – Larnaca flight will be carried out two times a week until March and will continue in the flight programme of the summer season.
Furthermore, Hoyer said Jazeera Airways plans to utilise this flight programme with a view to further boosting Cyprus’ connectivity with the other countries of the Arab Peninsula.
Koumis, the Deputy Ministry added, welcomed the decision to further boost Cyprus’ connectivity and added that the cooperation between the two parties will continue, as the positive intentions create optimism for obtaining the desired outcomes.”
