Pasta Week brings new authentic Italian moments to Pinolo
08:10 - 22 October 2024
Pinolo restaurant is joining the celebration of World Pasta Day on 25 October, for the second consecutive year, with a limited-edition menu of new, authentic Italian flavours the Nicosia restaurant says will fascinate even the most demanding of palates.
For a week, from 21 until 27 October, the public and especially pasta lovers, will have the opportunity to enjoy a feast of Italian flavours and experience what pasta stands for: simplicity, tastiness and authenticity.
"Pinolo’s experienced chefs have put together a very promising menu consisting of five different dishes that stand out for their quality, creativity, finesse and Italian tradition. A menu inspired by an exciting blend of savoury flavours and fine ingredients as well as culinary collaborations and travel experiences from Southern Italy to Milan in Northern Italy. Five different cities, five different pasta recipes, from every corner of Italy but serving a common purpose: to satisfy every pasta lover regardless of the dish they have chosen," a relevant press release says.
"This gastronomic journey begins in Sicily, a place where natural ingredients such as anchovies, capers and olives have left a lasting mark. As such, the first dish on the menu is none other than Pasta alla Siciliana made with fresh spaghetti.
Our journey continues to the heart of Italy, Rome, with Bucatini Cacio e Pepe in a fantastic creamy sauce starring pecorino cheese, one of Italy’s most iconic cheeses.
Spicy flavour lovers will surely be captivated by the Spaghetti con le Polpettine, which features aromas and flavours from Southern Italy and specifically, Calabria.
Inspired by the marine culinary tradition of Salento, the Pasta Frutti di Mare dish, a flavourful pasta dish made with linguini and a delicious yellow tomato sauce with fresh mussels, prawns and sea bass ragout, promises another unique culinary experience.
The last dish on the limited-edition menu for pasta week at Pinolo restaurant is Orzo alla Milanese, a classic Italian dish from Milan, with saffron, for a golden colour and a slightly sweet taste, and delicious beef cheeks.
Get ready to embark on a unique Italian culinary journey!," the press release concludes.
