Klaws El Achkar: Cyprus plays a crucial role in our business strategy, serving as a gateway to the European Market

Global tech firm Eurisko chose Cyprus to do business because it serves as a gateway to the European market, while its proximity to the Middle East enhances the company’s ability to navigate business operations seamlessly between regions, according to its Tech Lead and Head of Operations Klaws El Achkar.

Speaking to the camera as part of Invest Cyprus’ “Working and Living in Cyprus Series” on YouTube, El Achkar also discussed the Eurisko Academy and the company’s new product, the Hiverse platform.

“We have chosen Cyprus to do business, because Cyprus plays a crucial role in our business strategy, serving as a gateway to the European market,” he said. “The strategic geographical location of Cyprus, coupled with its EU membership, provides us with unparalleled access to the European market. The stability and business-friendly environment, along with a favourable tax framework, make Cyprus an ideal hub for our operations. Additionally, Cyprus’ proximity to the Middle East enhances our ability to navigate business operations seamlessly between regions. This geographic advantage allows us to foster cross-regional collaboration and tap into opportunities presented by both the Middle Eastern and the European markets.”

He added, “This strategic positioning enables us to expand our reach, build strong relationships and capitalise on the numerous opportunities that both regions offer”.

Eurisko was established in 2010 and specialises in driving international digital transformations through cutting edge technologies, with a team of around 150 experts.

It provides services to industries including fintech, insuretech, entertainment and gaming, retail and e-commerce, healthcare, e-government and media and communication.
