Cyprus University of Technology and Energame enter cooperation agreement

The Cyprus University of Technology and Energame signed a cooperation agreement, aimed at enhancing educational opportunities and practical knowledge for students.

The meeting took place on 10 October 2024, where the Executive Vice President of Energame, Marianna Hadjiandoniou and the Rector of the Cyprus University of Technology, Prof. Panayiotis Zaphiris met to formalize their commitment to fostering a collaborative educational environment with a shared vision of bridging the gap between academia and industry.

Through this partnership, Energame is willing to provide expert guest lecturers and hands-on workshops and seminars across various fields, ensuring that students gain valuable insights and real-world skills that complement their academic learning. This learning initiative aims to better prepare students for the workforce and foster innovation within their respective industries.

“Today’s students need more than theoretical knowledge; they need practical experience and insights from industry leaders”, said Prof. Zaphiris, Rector of the Cyprus University of Technology.

“Energame is committed to investing in the next generation of leaders,” said Marianna Hadjiandoniou, Executive Vice President of Energame. “By sharing our expertise, we aim to create a dynamic learning environment that not only benefits students but also strengthens the ties between education and industry”.

This partnership is part of Energame’s comprehensive global CSR program, named Game Changers by Energame, which is designed to empower the next generation of leaders through education, create opportunities for future leaders and make a positive difference across borders and communities.

The partnership will enable the university to leverage industry expertise through guest lectures and workshops tailored to the specific needs of its academic programs, with the potential for further collaboration on other educational initiatives, aimed at providing students with practical skills and professional experience.
