CBN Young Dragon Awards: Meet the candidates in the Professional Services category

Votes are still flooding in for the public’s choice for the young entrepreneurs and professionals under the age of 40 who will be awarded as part of the newly established CBN Young Dragon Awards.

The Awards Ceremony will be taking place in Nicosia on 2 December and attendance is by invitation only.

With three finalists in each award category have selected and announced by the Awards Committee, the public can, until 26 November, still continue to cast their vote and shape the final result, contributing to and decisively determining the selection of each category's awardee. The public's vote will count on a 50%-50% scale with the Award Committee's vote.

The three finalists in the Professional Services (law, accounting, consulting) award category, as selected by the Awards Committee, are:

Constantina Ioannou

Constantina Ioannou

Company: PwC

Position: Assistant manager

Areas: Entrepreneurship and Innovation, startups, EU and national funding Ioannou is a highly talented individual with a remarkable track record of accomplishments. George P. Nicolaou is a Director at Treppides & Co Group in the International Compliance and Advisory Services department leading the Funds and Fund Management and Administration Services.

He joined the Group in 2015 as an Assistant Manager and within one year he joined the Board of Management as a Senior Manager and subsequently in 2020 he was appointed to the position of Director and Member of the Board of Directors.

He holds a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance and is an FCCA. He is a member of ICPAC and member of CIFA.

He is an exceptionally talented individual whose accomplishments speak volumes. With a track record of spearheading critical projects, managing the Fund Administration of the largest funds established or managed in Cyprus, has consistently delivered outstanding results. Loizides is a Partner and the Head of the Dispute Resolution Team, with extensive experience in civil and corporate law, IP, Real Estate, Energy and Tort Law. He represents clients (both plaintiff and defendant) in high value and complex cases before the Cyprus courts (including the Supreme Court of Cyprus), and he is in charge for developing the overall case strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases, and for preparing and drafting opinions in relation to a variety of legal issues.

Loizides has been a pivotal force at GZG since he joined in 2012. As the Head of the Dispute Resolution department, he has successfully navigated complex legal challenges and has consistently driven the team to deliver outstanding results for clients. His strategic and visionary approach transformed the department into one of the most respected in the local and international legal industry, while his proven track record made him a sought-after expert in the field. One person will receive the Dragon Award for each category, starting a new or renewed business and career path.

This year's awards ceremony is presented by Cyta Business and also supported by Punin Group and ECOMMBX, proudly highlighting the value and importance of the institution.

Those members of the public who wish to participate in the voting can only vote for one candidate per category, while you do not have to choose a candidate in all categories for your vote to be valid. You can vote via the same IP address only once.
