Christos Angelides appointed General Manager of Cyprus Hotel Association

Christos Angelides has been appointed General Manager of the Cyprus Hotel Association (PASYXE) and will be taking over from Philokypros Roussounides on 1 January 2025.

The PASYXE Board of Directors approved Angelides' appointment at its latest meeting.

Angelides brings extensive experience in the hospitality industry, having served for over 30 years with the H&C Group as an Executive Board Member and Director of Sales and Marketing. During this time, he implemented strategic development plans and managed multi-year budgets.

He is also the President of the Hotel Managers Association, Vice President of the Famagusta Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and an active member of committees at the Deputy Ministry of Tourism.

His academic credentials include a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California, along with qualifications in Sports Management and Physical Education.

Addressing the PASYXE Board, the new General Manager said: "It is a great honour to have earned your trust. I am committed to working with dedication and strategic vision, in collaboration with the Board, to strengthen PASYXE’s position as a cornerstone of the tourism industry."

The Board expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing General Manager, Philokypros Roussounides, for his exceptional contribution over the past five years, highlighting the significant progress made by the Association during his tenure.

In turn, Roussounides congratulated his successor, assuring him of his ongoing support and expressing his gratitude to PASYXE members: "It has been an honour to serve the Association over these years. I wish PASYXE and the new General Manager every success in the future."
