VTTI Cyprus (also known as VTTV) is celebrating its 10-year anniversary on the island. As an integral part of VTTI’s global network—a leader in energy product storage—VTTI Cyprus is strategically positioned in the Eastern Mediterranean as one of the region’s first and largest energy storage and distribution terminals.
"While we celebrate all we have achieved over the past decade, we also look to the future with confidence and excitement. VTTI Cyprus will continue to lead in the safe storage and management of energy products in the Mediterranean, growing through investments in green energy projects while prioritising safety, consistency, and environmental and social responsibility," said Thanos Patrikis, VTTI Vice President for the Mediterranean region and CEO of VTTI Cyprus.
Safe and Reliable Energy Storage in the Eastern Mediterranean
The terminal, located in the Vasilikos area of Cyprus, is more than just a storage facility; it is a critical link in the region’s energy supply chain. With access to the sea and facilities for loading tanker trucks, the terminal serves a wide range of customers, utilising diverse transport options such as road, sea, and pipelines. Its exclusive private jetty enhances loading capabilities, enabling customers to fully leverage market opportunities in the global energy landscape.
The VTTI Advantage
The terminal’s infrastructure includes 28 high-capacity tanks providing 545,000 cubic meters of storage for fuels and biofuels, along with access to a proprietary jetty featuring four berths for tankers. It also has a dedicated system for Jet A-1 aviation fuel and specialised ethanol storage, while pioneering safety and environmental protection protocols. This unique combination of infrastructure and capabilities positions VTTI Cyprus as a leading energy storage hub in the Eastern Mediterranean.
With its customer-centric approach, the company offers a wide range of services and options. The jetty is equipped to support ship-to-ship transfer services and re-Bill of Lading (re-BoL) capabilities, making the terminal a versatile hub for the movement and distribution of petroleum products. Additionally, the terminal acts as a Mediterranean hub for blending and achieving various gasoline grades using specialised additives and other activities supported by its equipment and customs licenses.
A Commitment to Sustainability
Beyond providing critical infrastructure, VTTI places a strong emphasis on compliance with the latest safety, health, and environmental standards. The company consistently follows sustainable practices, respecting and protecting the local environment.
