Petroleum products sales in Cyprus up by 3.5% in October

Petroleum products sales in Cyprus showed a positive trend in October 2024, reaching 135,250 tons, marking an annual increase of 3.5% compared to October 2023, Cystat said.

Fuel station sales demonstrated particularly strong performance, increasing by 8.9% to 60,113 tons.

Significant growth was recorded in jet fuel supplies (9.7%), heating oil sales (30.1%), diesel (7.7%), gasoline (7.2%), and liquefied petroleum gas (3.3%). On the other hand, declines were observed in fuel supplies to ships (-20.7%) and sales of light and heavy fuel oil (-17.2% and -6.5%, respectively), kerosene (-5.7%), and asphalt (-3.7%).

Compared to September 2024, total fuel sales in October rose by 3.9%. Increases were seen in jet fuel supplies (7.1%) and diesel sales (3.0%), while gasoline sales declined slightly by 0.5%.

At the end of October, fuel stock levels rose by 2.2% compared to the previous month.

During the January–October 2024 period, total fuel sales increased by 1.4% compared to the same period in 2023.
