A look at the flights strengthening Cyprus’ connectivity this winter

This winter, 32 airlines are operating flights from Larnaca and Paphos airports, connecting to 34 countries and 85 destinations.
Cyprus's connectivity has been significantly enhanced, with new routes launched for this winter season, and two new destinations added: Kuwait (via Jazeera Airways) and Chișinău (via Fly One) from Larnaka Airport. Additionally, there are nine new additions to existing routes.
New routes for the airports in Larnaca and Paphos:
- Larnaca:
- Wizz Air adds Cairo and Milan to its winter schedule.
- British Airways adds flights to London Gatwick.
- EasyJet introduces flights to Amsterdam.
- LOT Polish Airlines resumes flights to Warsaw.
- Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) adds flights to Copenhagen.
- Paphos:
- Ryanair includes Amman, Liverpool, and Birmingham in its winter schedule.
Enhanced connectivity
The airports connect to 25 European capitals and major hubs, offering increased options for destinations via a single stop. Key routes include:
- Athens: 13 flights daily.
- London Heathrow: 2 flights daily.
- Frankfurt: 5 weekly flights.
- Munich: 1 flight daily.
- Vienna: 1-2 flights daily.
- Amsterdam: 4 weekly flights.
Middle East and Gulf Connections
Both Larnaca and Paphos airports also provide links to the Middle East and Gulf regions, reflecting a robust demand for Cyprus's year-round connectivity. The current load factor averages around 80%, indicating strong interest in these routes.
