“The Focus event in London is a prominent location promotion event held every December in Islington,” Eleftheriou told CBN, adding that it is widely recognised among film commissions across Europe, North America, and Asia.

“During the event, the Cyprus Film Commission had the opportunity to meet with numerous UK producers and showcase Cyprus' unique filming locations—many of which have yet to be featured on screen,” he went on. “It was an excellent occasion to connect with film professionals, including those who recently completed projects on our island and are planning their next ventures for 2025.”

In his presentation, Eleftheriou provided a comprehensive overview of Cyprus’ film scheme, detailing the entire process—from the initial expression of interest to the successful broadcasting of a project produced in Cyprus.

Following the presentation, the Cyprus delegation hosted a "Happy Hour" event at the venue, where guests enjoyed the traditional Commandaria.

New great prospects seem to be opening up for Cyprus thanks to Invest Cyprus’ effort in recent years to promote the country as a leading destination for the production of motion pictures, and more, with the island establishing itself firmly on the world film industry map and increasingly becoming a key attraction for large and renowned production companies.
