Cyprus and Uzbekistan establish business association

The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI-KEBE) has announced the establishment of the Cyprus-Uzbekistan Business Association, marking what it described as a "new era in economic relations between Cyprus and Uzbekistan."

In a statement, the Chamber states that the establishment of the association is within the framework of the ongoing effort to create new opportunities for the benefit of Cypriot businesses.

The aim of this initiative is to strengthen and expand economic and trade relations between the two countries, paving the way for dynamic collaborations as well as strengthening cooperation between businesses in Cyprus and Uzbekistan.

The CCCI, the announcement says, will work to highlight the potential of the Cypriot economy, highlighting opportunities for investment and collaboration.

Cyprus, it continues, "with its strategic location at the heart of Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, is the ideal hub for businesses wishing to penetrate high-growth markets.

Combining its globally recognized infrastructure and stable business environment, Cyprus offers Uzbek entrepreneurs a gateway to new and emerging markets."

In a statement, CCCI President Stavros Stavrou said that the "establishment of this Association marks a new era in economic relations between Cyprus and Uzbekistan. It will open up valuable opportunities for cooperation in the fields of trade, investment and technology.

As a networking platform, the Association will enhance innovation and collaboration, promoting mutual economic development.”

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Cyprus, Abat Fayzullaev, also expressed his enthusiasm for this cooperation, stating that "Uzbekistan considers this Association as an important milestone in strengthening bilateral relations with Cyprus."

We are, he said, "determined to explore new possibilities for cooperation and create a strong framework for economic and cultural exchange. This initiative will undoubtedly contribute to the formation of deeper partnerships and the improvement of the prosperity of both countries."

An invitation to participate in the Association is addressed to businesses from both Cyprus and Uzbekistan. For membership registration or more information, interested parties can contact the CCCI (Lily Michaelides, email: lily@ccci.org.cy, tel: +357 22 889706).
