Having presented the Young Dragon Awards to their recipients, the ceremony’s sponsors and presenters were united in their certainty of their ongoing success and contribution to Cyprus’ business sector.

They also noted that the future was bright for the nominees that may have gone home without an award, and that they should also be congratulated on their career success so far and excellent future prospects.

Speaking to the CBN camera, in order of appearance, were Philokypros Roussounides, Director General of the Cyprus Hotel Association; Nikolas Mastroyiannopoulos, Founder & Managing Partner, W11 Ventures; Christodoulos Angastiniotis, non executive Director at Ecommbx- - which was Young Dragon Champion Sponsor; Yiannis Efthychiou, VC & Growth investor at BII | ; Bain & Co | Insead; Louisa Michaelidou, Radio Producer, Super FM Radio; Themis Georgantas, Radio Producer, Super FM Radio; Tanya Romanyukha, General Manager, Techisland; Natasa Pilides, Manager, IMH Conferences & Exhibitions Department; Pan Dragomir, Presenter, Radio Producer and Influencer; and Michalis Karis, General Manager, Super FM Radio. The CBN Young Dragon Awards were presented by Cyta Business and Andreas Neocleous, CEO, Cyta, also presented an award, as well as addressing the ceremony earlier.

The first ever CBN Young Dragon Awards, held on 2 December at the Municipal Theatre in Nicosia, were a resounding success.

The invitation-only ceremony saw nine professionals under the age of 40 recognised and awarded for their accomplishments in a range of sectors.

The recipients of the 1st CBN Young Dragon Awards were:

Tourism, Hotel, Leisure, Food and Beverage: Nikolaos Arvanitis, Manager, Events & Entertainment, Melco Resorts & Entertainment

Construction and Real Estate: Elena Narbuts, VP of Sales & Marketing, Marfields Group

Trading and Manufacturing (retail trade, wholesale trade, manufacturing): Michalis Petrou, Commercial Manager, Alambra - Petrou Bros Dairy Products

Technology (technology companies, software, hardware, telcos, etc.): Theodoros Mantis, Head of Payroll & Migration, BrainRocket

Services (Education, Health, Media, Communications, Advertising, Supply Chain and Logistics): Artemis Pnevmatikou, Head of PR & Communications, TechIsland

Financial Services (Banking, Investing, Insurance, other financial services): Christos M. Ioannou, Head Private & Affluent Banking, Bank of Cyprus

Three finalists in each award category were selected and announced by the expert Awards Committee while a public vote shaped the final result, contributing to and decisively determining the selection of each category's awardee. This is because the public's vote counted on a 50%-50% scale with the Award Committee's vote.

The CBN Young Dragon Awards were presented by Cyta Business, the Gold Sponsor of the Awards was Punin Group, the Young Dragon Champion Sponsor was Ecommbx and Nespresso was the Awards Sponsor.
