President to visit USS Indiana submarine in Limassol

President Nikos Christodoulides will visit the USS Indiana submarine which is in Limassol for a New Year port call.

The visit is due to take place on the afternoon of 31 December.

US Ambassador to Cyprus, Julie Fisher, welcomed the officers and crew of the USS Indiana to Limassol, in a post on “X”, noting that this nuclear-powered submarine is in Cyprus for a liberty and New Year port call.

“Named after the state of Indiana, its insignia honors Indiana’s racing heritage with the famous finish line racing flag,” she noted.
