George Panteli: Consecutive upgrades of Cyprus' economy and opportunities for foreign investors

George Panteli, former Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, presented the positive trajectory of the Cypriot economy and the abundant investment opportunities it offers to leading professionals in wealth management and international investments, at the Non Doms: The Cyprus Private Client Offering Gathering 2024, being held in London.

Panteli highlighted both Cyprus’ macroeconomic framework and its investment landscape. He also discussed the recent upgrades to the Cypriot economy by international rating agencies and the country’s business-friendly environment for individuals and companies relocating or partially transferring their operations to Cyprus.

Conference Focus

The conference, organised by IMH in collaboration with Invest Cyprus, revolved around the theme: “Cyprus: A Destination of Choice for High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs), their Families, Companies, and Employees”.

The event aimed to showcase Cyprus and its attractive non-dom scheme.

Held at an iconic venue

The conference was hosted at the historic London Stock Exchange, gathering over 150 participants, including lawyers, accountants, private bankers, and family office managers from the United Kingdom.

In addition, over 30 experts from Cyprus participated actively, further strengthening the connections between the Cypriot business community and international investors.

Networking Opportunities

The event concluded with a networking brunch, allowing participants to exchange ideas and explore new avenues for collaboration.
