RIF and startups showcased Cyprus’ progress at top tech expo in Barcelona

Eight Cypriot startups participated in the largest IT and communications technology exhibition in the world, "Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2024" and "4 Years from Now" (4YFN).

The Cypriot mission was led by the Chief Scientist for Research, Innovation and Technology of the Republic of Cyprus, Dimitris Skouridis, together with officials from the Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF).

The Cypriot participating companies Embio Diagnostics, Energyintel Services Ltd, Mirror3D Lab Ltd, Irerobot Ltd, Intellar Innovative Solutions Ltd, CY.R.I.C, Cocoon Creations Services Limited and Tototheo Trading Ltd exhibited their products and services at the Cypriot stand within the exhibition and had the opportunity to present them to the thousands of visitors.

At the same time, RIF officials informed foreign agencies about the potential of the technology and innovation sector in Cyprus, the State's strategies in Research, Innovation and Technology, as well as the various tools and incentives offered, which make the country an attractive destination for startups.

The exhibition attracts thousands of entrepreneurs, investors and scientists from all countries of the world each year.

It is worth noting that the Cypriot stand was also visited by the country’s Communications Commissioner, George Michaelides.

According to RIF, Cyprus’ participation in the exhibition falls under the Foundation’s activities to promote the national startup ecosystem abroad as well as support the country’s own startups.
