VTN aiming to change the pet industry game in Cyprus with a new deal

Vitapets Ltd, a member of the VitaTrace Nutrition Ltd (VTN Group) group of companies, is moving ahead with a new major agreement in line with its vision to become the largest pet products supplier in the Cypriot market and expand its activities to other countries - in particular in the Middle East.

More specifically, as InBusinessNews has been informed, Vitapets, is on 6 March signing a cooperation agreement with PetLine S.A., a leading company in Greece in the field of pet products.

What does the agreement provide for?

Based on the agreement, Vitapets will undertake the exclusive import and marketing in Cyprus of the innovative range of companion animal (pet) products represented in our country by PetLine S.A., and which will be available in pet shops, veterinary clinics, veterinary pharmacies, but also at selected garden supply stores.

The range of products is significant and includes, among others, the products of the companies EVER CLEAN, CORE, PROFINE, NATURAL CODE, VITAKRAFT, OXBOW, TROPICLEAN, WHIMZEES, ROGZ, etc., which already exist on the Cypriot market, as well as many other innovative products and series.

It is worth noting that due to the large volume of products, the implementation of the agreement will be completed in two phases, in May 2024 (1st phase) and in September 2024 (2nd phase), while until its completion, the company Vetline Ltd, until now a distributor, will continue to supply the products to the Cypriot market, trying to ensure a smoother transition to the new network.

Vetline Ltd will continue to import and market the veterinary products represented by PetLine S.A., as well as veterinary equipment.

The purpose and objective of the cooperation, the agreement for which is being signed on 6 March on behalf of PetLine S.A. by the Managing Director of the company Dimitris Dimitrelias and on behalf of Vitapets Ltd by the Managing Director of the company Alexandros Chr. Angastiniotis, is the continuous and seamless supply of Petline S.A. products to the Cypriot market with speed, reliability, at the best possible prices, as well as the continuous enrichment of the range with new and innovative series.

The pet industry and the VTN Group

"We are happy and proud of the new major agreement we are signing with PetLine Greece, which includes the exclusive import and distribution in Cyprus of dozens of new agencies and a few hundred new products", indicated, the Managing Director of Vitapets Ltd, Alexandros Ch. Angastiniotis, speaking to InBusinessNews.

Emphasising that the trust shown by PetLine in Vitapets is a special honor for the VTN Group, Angastiniotis expressed at the same time the certainty that the collaboration will be beneficial, both for the two organisations, but mainly for the market.

Alexander Ch. Angastiniotis recalled that Vitapets gradually assumed at the beginning of 2020 the representation of a small part of the Royal Canin pet food company, and by the end of 2020 the exclusive representation of the entire range.

"Within three years", he underlined, "we have established Royal Canin as the leading Super Premium Pet Feeds company in Cyprus, i.e. in the position it holds worldwide. In these three years we also took over the Sanicat and PetJoy agencies, which have also established themselves in the Cypriot market."

Angastiniotis noted that with the new major agreement of strategic importance, VTN Group aspires to become the, by far, largest player in the Cypriot market in terms of the supply of products related to this rapidly growing pet industry market.

"We also aspire," he continued, "to expand our activities to other countries, particularly in the Middle East."

Finally pointing out that the pet industry sector is developing rapidly in Cyprus, as Cypriots are now more aware of this issue and pets are considered members of every Cypriot family, Alexandros Chr. Angastiniotis declared that the VTN Group could not fail to have a leading position in this market.
