CSC launching Future Startup Founders programme for aspiring female entrepreneurs

The Cyprus Computer Society (CCS) has announced the launch of the Future Startup Founders programme, designed exclusively for aspiring female entrepreneurs.

This initiative falls under the Startup Founders pillar of the European co-funded Erasmus+ project Femme Forward, to promote innovation and empower women in the field of technology start-ups.

Future Startup Founders is a comprehensive online programme designed to equip women with the necessary skills and knowledge to turn their tech startup ideas into thriving businesses.

Participants will delve into the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, including identifying market opportunities, developing a minimum viable product (MVP), and securing funding from investors.

Women who wish to learn the basics of starting their own business or women with existing startup ideas will be selected.

Programme Details:

- Free Participation: The programme is offered free of charge to all participants.

- Duration: From 3 April, 2024 until the beginning of June 2024.

- Schedule: Weekly online sessions on Monday and Wednesday (19:00 - 21:00) and Thursday (18:00 - 21:00).

- Total Hours: A programme amounting to 60 hours of online training.

- Delivery Method: Interactive presentations, AMA (Ask Me Anything) sessions, question and answer sessions, hands-on exercises, mentor sessions and networking events.

- Language: English.

The programme will cover business concepts such as the business canvas model, lean startup methodology, sustainable economics, marketing, sales, legal issues and financing methods.

In addition, the program will cover technology concepts such as cloud services, minimum viable product (MVP) development, artificial intelligence and data-driven business decision-making models.

Skills and empowerment are essential, so trainers will also teach leadership skills, there will be interaction with successful female entrepreneurs and ways to get involved in the community.

Cyprus Computer Society Secretary Dr. Panicos Masouras says, “We are excited to launch the Future Startup Founders programme as part of the Femme Forward initiative. The programme is under the patronage of the Commissioner for Gender Equality, Josie Christodoulou, and is supported by the Bank of Cyprus and the SupportCY network.
