Event in Athens marks 60 year anniversary of Cyprus Ship Registry

The Deputy Ministry of Shipping held a dinner in Athens earlier this week, in the presence of Deputy Minister of Shipping of the Republic of Cyprus Marina Hadjimanolis, to mark the 60th anniversary since the establishment of the Cyprus Ship Registry.

The entire ship-owning community of Greece attended the dinner, reaffirming "the long-standing and steady support to the Cyprus Ship Registry,", the Deputy Ministry said in a press release.

Addressing the event, Hadjimanolis referred to the evolution of the registry throughout the years and spoke about the advantages of Cyprus Shipping as a flag state. At the same time, she highlighted the vision, objectives and priorities set by the Deputy Ministry of Shipping.

She also noted the firm commitment of the government and the President of the Republic of Cyprus to further develop and strengthen the sector and to shield the competitiveness of European shipping.
