Hack you later - One of the largest hackathons is happening in Cyprus

Ever had an idea so powerful that you knew it should become a product? Then you should consider joining a hackathon.

No, it’s not about hacking in the usual sense. A hackathon is an event where you and a team build your idea into a product in just 48 hours. Many great products, like Twitter (now X) and Zapier, actually came out of hackathons.

So, are hackathons happening in Cyprus? Absolutely, and the biggest one is about to happen in a month! On June 15th and 16th in Limassol, Quadcode is organizing the largest hackathon yet. The theme is personalization and AI in fintech. I mean, with the rise of fintech companies on the island, this topic couldn’t be more timely. Any product that uses AI to enhance user experience in education, trading, AR/VR, or any other fintech application could win the grand prize of €30,000 in cash. Yes, read that again.

The event will feature mentors and judges who are senior executives from the industry and technology sectors, including representatives from Google and TikTok for Business.

The best part is, you don’t have to be a developer to join. Your skills as a designer, marketer, lawyer, financier, or in any other field can contribute to the success of a product. Even if you don’t have a team, Quadcode’s team will help you find one.

Over 200 people have already submitted their applications to participate. The hackathon, or HackAIthon as it’s called, has received backing from prominent media collaborators such as FFWD, InBusiness News, Protathlima, Cyprus Mail, MixFM, and Vestnik Kipra.

The event is proudly sponsored by ECOMMBX as the Quantum Sponsor and AdTech Holding as the Silver Sponsor, with additional support from Capacitor Partners and TechIsland as community partners.

Check it out and register now, as spots are filling up fast!

Hack you there.
