Investment funds assets up to €6.78 billion in March 2024

Total assets of investment funds in Cyprus increased by approximately €293 million or by 4.5% in March 2024, compared to December 2023, reaching €6.78 billion.

This was mainly due to the increase of approximately €260 million of their investments in shares and other related securities, which amounted to a total of €4.93 billion.

According to data released by the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC), the number of investment funds increased from 316 in December 2023 to 328 in March 2024, while their total assets increased by 4.5% to €6,788.6 million in March 2024, compared to €6,495.5 million in December 2023. 

According to CBC data, their deposits and loans stood at €782.5 million at the end of March, up from €760.9 million in December 2023.

The value of securities held by them in March 2024 stood at €570.9 million, up from €554.6 million in December last year.
