OpenWay recently held a team-building event in Cyprus, vising Lythrodontas and finding out about Cypriot winemaking in “an unforgettable cultural journey”.
“Hosted by OpenWay’s Social Committee, we immersed ourselves in the beauty of local Cypriot winemaking in the picturesque village of Lythrodontas,” the company said on its LinkedIn.
Highlights included a tour of a boutique winery, featuring tastings of exquisite wines and spirits, including the local favourite, Zivania. “It was a pleasure to try one of the oldest wines in the world – the renowned Commandaria, made from the “mavro grape”, unique to Cyprus,” OpenWay said.
The tour was followed up by friendly competitions in billiards and darts, which “brought out the best in our team spirit!”
They also enjoyed mouthwatering street food with traditional Cypriot sausages, locally-sourced burgers and pizzas made on-site. “The day was a perfect blend of camaraderie, culture, and fun. Cheers to bonding, learning, and indulging in local flavours!”
