University of Limassol establishes Academic Partnership with GARP

The University of Limassol (UoL) announced that it has become an Academic Partner of the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).

It said the partnership “serves as a basis for collaborative efforts to pursue excellence and set a high standard in risk management education as well as providing the means to meet those standards”.

Risk management is one of the most dynamic fields in the financial services industry today and has experienced considerable growth over the past several years, fuelled by the complexity of financial products, increased regulation, and recent notable failures.

“By aligning the MSc Financial Services Program academic programme with the FRM curriculum, rigorous academic instruction can be coupled with practitioner-driven insight and certification,” UoL said. “Through this combination, students are better prepared to succeed in the challenging field of risk management.”
