Construction materials Index records annual decrease of 1.32%

The Price Index of Construction Materials for May 2024 recorded an annual decrease of 1.32%, according to CySTAT.

CySTAT announced that the Index recorded a marginal increase of 0.11% compared to the previous month and reached 117,35 units (base year 2021=100),

By main commodity category, decreases were recorded in metallic products (-6.68%) whereas increases were observed in electromechanical products (3.24%), minerals (1.01%), mineral products (0.49%) and products of wood, insulation materials, chemicals and plastics (0.30%).

During the January-May 2024 period, the index recorded a decrease of 1.81% compared to the corresponding period of 2023.
