Korantina Homes establishes two student scholarships at AUB - Mediterraneo

Korantina Homes Group announced that it is establishing two student scholarships worth €80,000 at the American University of Beirut – Mediterraneo (AUB Mediterraneo) in Paphos.

American University of Beirut (AUB) President Dr Fadlo R. Khuri and AUB Mediterraneo Rector Dr Wassim El Hajj expressed their deep gratitude to Korantina Homes Group and its CEO, George Ioannou, for its generous support.

The establishment of these scholarships, which will be awarded to high-achieving AUB Mediterraneo students, demonstrates the strong relationships that AUB Mediterraneo has forged in Cyprus and the impact it is having on the country’s educational landscape, the university said in a press release.

During the announcement ceremony in May, Ioannou congratulated AUB Mediterraneo for its operation in Cyprus and its dedication to offering a high level of academic studies. He stated, “Our group supports and promotes every effort that aims at enhancing knowledge, research, innovation, and of course academic excellence. We believe that these scholarships can become an incentive for students to strive for excellence at AUB Mediterraneo, a twin campus of an internationally recognised and well-established university that is making Cyprus a prestigious regional hub of academic studies.”
