LPM Global Bar Manager Tibor Krascsenics recently shared more about the exciting cocktails guests at LPM Limassol at Parklane, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Limassol can look forward to at the popular venue this summer.
Speaking to CBN, he noted that the cocktail menu was an homage to Jean Cocteau, describing the French poet and playwright as “one of the most brilliant creative minds in history.”
Krascsenics also talked about the global cocktail trends that have caught his eye, revealing that LPM’s own Tomatini cocktail was right on trend and gaining fame not only locally but also around the world.
LPM Limassol recently celebrated its anniversary and shook up its cocktail menu. Can you tell us more about what customers enjoy in your selection?
The cocktail menu is an homage to one of the most brilliant creative minds in history, Jean Cocteau.
‘Recipes for our Friends’ infuses cocktails with a touch of history and the fantastic yet childlike artwork of Cocteau.
“Our cocktail menu expresses love, art, celebration and taste – all attributes linked not only to Cocteau, but to La Petite Maison (LPM) too. LPM is known worldwide as a restaurant with a strong link to the art world. From the mastery showcased on the walls to the imaginative sculptures placed throughout the restaurant, LPM champions the creative arts. The menu is for cocktail aficionados, lovers of the arts or guests who are simply looking to escape from the 21st Century world for an hour or two.”
Along with the 12 cocktails, there are six alcohol-free drinks in ‘Recipes for our Friends’ under Petit Jean Mocktails. Each one of them representing a twist on the alcoholic version
As we head into summer, what are some of the other global cocktail trends that have caught your attention?
Savory cocktails are the biggest thing at the moment. What started as an odd trend has now taken over the cocktail scene with unique and twisted flavours.
Bartenders are going wild, mixing in ingredients like pickles, tomatoes, and mushrooms, to create high-end concoctions.
It is noticeable as people are now, more than ever, asking for pickled martinis, truffle martinis and tomato based martinis. Which is the reason why the our very own Tomatini is gaining fame not only locally but globally.
Not to forget the trend towards the Low/No alcohol. More drinkers are choosing to consume less alcohol, whether that's certain evenings at home, when they have to drive, or even preferring their cocktails at bars with a spirit-free drink.
Can you reveal anything else about LPM Limassol’s plans for this summer and beyond for customers to look forward to?
On the culinary front, we're introducing seasonal dishes that highlight the freshest ingredients, to showcase the creativity of our chefs.
We’re also planning exclusive wine and cocktail pairing events, giving guests a chance to explore new flavors and combinations.
