Eurobank Group's 'egg - enter grow go' named Best Performing New EBAN Member 2024

egg - enter grow go, Eurobank's business accelerator, has been awarded the prestigious distinction of Best Performing New EBAN Member 2024.

The award was presented during a special event organised at the annual conference of the European Business Angel Network (EBAN), which took place in Tallinn, Estonia, on 20-22 May 2024.

egg - enter grow go is one of the leading start-up hubs in Europe ranking 48th out of 220 candidates while being the largest business accelerator in Greece and the second largest in Southeastern Europe. This award at European wide level is a testament to the extroverted dynamics of egg. For the past 13 years Eurobank’s business accelerator has been designing and implementing initiatives to develop and strengthen the investors network supporting Greek start-up entrepreneurship, accelerating the absorption of capital from start-ups and expanding the innovation ecosystem of Greece.

In addition, during the conference, egg's startup, Bitloops had the opportunity to be one of the 17 startups from all over Europe that pitched their business model and analyzed their investment needs to a group of angel investors, Venture Capital Funds, entrepreneurs and policy makers.

The Director and member of the egg Steering Committee, Roula Bachtalia received the award on behalf of egg and Eurobank, and commented, "We share the same vision with EBAN and that is to expand the European innovation ecosystem. egg - enter grow go, during the past 13 years has supported more than 1,500 young entrepreneurs & researchers. In addition, 400 entrepreneurial & research teams have been supported by egg, while 200 start-ups have created a legal entity and been hosted by the egg Hub. The financial capital attracted by a 67 start-ups from Greek and foreign investors (VCs, CVCs, Business Angels) amounts to €45.8 million, while Eurobank has provided €3.3 million in funding to 51 start-ups. Eurobank's total investment to date for the operation of egg amounts exceeds €12 million. Finally, €48 million is the total revenue of the alumni start-ups of the egg business accelerator.
