Polis Antoniou: Customers delighted with the renovations and upgrades at Royal Apollonia Limassol

The management of the Royal Apollonia Limassol has proceeded with a series of renovations of the hotel premises, with the aim of upgrading the services and the product it offers its guests.

The hotel’s General Manager, Polis Antoniou, spoke about the recent renovations and their importance in the June edition of the monthly electronic edition of ‘Xenodochos,’ the official magazine of the Cyprus Hoteliers Association.

More specefically, and in response to a related question, Antoniou stated that "always taking into account the upgrading of our product, we went ahead and renovated the ground floor area of our Royal Apollonia hotel, where the Lounge and Luna Bar are situated."

We also renovated, he added, Aura, the hotel's main restaurant, Alati, a Greek a la carte restaurant, Akakiko, a Japanese restaurant, as well as the outdoor pool area with new sunbeds and umbrellas.

After the renovation of the above premises, Antoniou pointed out, "the customers are delighted and we are made aware of this every day, through the contact we have with them and also with their ratings and positive words in various reviews on social media."

Asked about the biggest challenges he has had to face as the General Manager of a luxury hotel, Antoniou said that "the demands of customers at a luxury hotel are significant, but this makes us pay more attention to detail and become more qualitative.”

"This is achieved through the proper training of the staff and with the personal contact with the customers, not only by the staff but also the management of the hotel," he underlined.

Personnel training

Asked, furthermore, to say how the training of the existing staff is carried out and how Royal Apollonia promotes their professional development, the General Manager of the hotel stated that, "there is a continuous training of all the staff in all the spectrum of the hotel sector, for safety and health issues, for environmental issues, proper food and beverage management and in all procedures, following our company's manuals."

"Without diminishing what I previously mentioned, we put a lot of emphasis on customer service, so that they leave with the best experience and come back to us again," he also pointed out.
