Harmonised inflation stable at 3% in June

Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices in June remained steady at 3% in June, driven by price hikes in electricity, housing, water, restaurants and hotels, CyStat said.

Compared with the previous month, the HICP marked an increase of 0.4%, whereas for the period January – June 2024, the HICP rose by 2.3% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, CyStat added.

Compared to June 2023, the largest positive changes were noted in Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Other Fuels with 6.4% and Restaurants and Hotels with 5.3%.
