Deputy Minister for Research, Innovation, and Digital Policy Nicodemos Damianou recently had a meeting with executives from Quadcode, where he was taken through the Cyprus-based company’s plans to revolutionise the island’s fintech landscape.

“We presented him with the impact report from our recent Quadcode's HackAIthon Event, which aimed to revolutionise the fintech landscape in Cyprus by integrating AI-driven personalisation,” said Quadcode’s Chief Operating Officer Michael Gitsis.

As he explained, the impact of this initiative revolves around three spheres: Economic Growth, Innovation and Technological Advancement, and Building an AI Community.

“We then engaged in a dynamic discussion on several crucial topics,” Gitsis added. “We explored the potential for Cyprus to emerge as a leading AI hub, the importance of educating and involving young generations in technology and programming, and how the private sector can collaborate with the government to develop real-life AI solutions that benefit our communities and enhance the quality of life on our beautiful island.”
